Basil is like a minimal maintenance friend, who is always ready when you are. You don’t have to provide beer, spring for dinner or even soup. Basil is ready to roll. It’s a beautiful thing.
A beautiful thing, indeed, Saul — though I feel obligated to add that I’m kind when doing the fold, faithful with the cleaning rags, and generous with the oil . . . gotta do my part, even for my minimal maintenance friend!
