I agree with Dr Diarist, there’s something in the balance (not to belittle his efforts). For some amusement, try carrying 2 non-folders & see how awkward it is.
If he tweaks me about this again (right though he may be), I’ll collect my 1960s-era (45 pound?) Italian folding bicycle from the garage, give him his mountain bike for the other hand, and we’ll see how that goes. Not that I have any right to complain, seeing as it’s he who is doing the hefting.
