Vincita Sightseer Giveaway

12/5/2014:  The giveaway is now closed.

Thanks to all who entered; the winner will be announced within the next day or two as soon as feasible.

Yesterday I reviewed the Vincita Sightseer Brompton transport bag.  (Read the review here.) Vincita sent a bag for me, but also provided a second Sightseer to give away.

st-bgThis is a terrific set, and I’m really happy to have the chance to share it with a reader.  Here’s how the drawing will go:

  1. The contest is open to anyone with a shipping address within the continental USA, meaning that the winner could live elsewhere, but I will ship only to the contiguous continental states (ie, not to Hawaii, Alaska, or — sorry! — the rest of the world).
  2. Leave a comment on this post before midnight (Eastern US DST) on Thursday, December 4, 2014.  Be sure to put a valid email address in the email field where you write your comment.  (Don’t put your email address in the comment itself; use the field so that it won’t be published.)
  3. Comments will be numbered in the order they are received. Only one entry per person, please; duplicates will be discarded.
  4. At the close of the entry period, a random number generator will select the winner, according to the numerical order.
  5. I’ll send the winner an email requesting the shipping address, and I’ll get the Sightseer off as soon as possible.
  6. The winner will have 48 hours from the time I send the email to respond.  If no response is received within that time, another drawing will be held and the Sightseer will go to the winner of the second drawing.

That’s it — good luck to all!

Wonderful review. My Brompton is also slightly modified and am happy that yours fits in the bag. Would come useful when I visit family in New York and bring my bike on the train…..

I love your review about the Sightseer, and and am also crossing my fingers that I might win it!

Yay for your blog!

I have a C-bag and a light set, but no Brompton yet :(. So why not add another accessory. Theban I have to get one. I’ve got my heart set on a Tempest Blue HL6. Portapedal has one with many pictures.

I could really use this, with the amount of airline travel I do with my Brompton. Thanks for the chance.

Thank you for your review (and this chance to win one). I had read about this bag before; good to read your comments. I do share your opinion on the logo, could you share how exactly you covered it with that sewn-on flap? Is a sewing machine – and the skills to use it – needed for that?

Thanks for yet another great review (as well-thought and as the bag seems to be). Would love to have a chance to win — please add a number on my behalf!

Thank you for the thorough review and the opportunity to win the bag! Love your blog–it’s a great incentive :).

We have 4 Bromptons, (one for each parent and 2 children) all purchased 2nd hand. I’m the zealot and biggest advocate! I just Googled Vincita Sightseer because a pending family holiday to Thailand. We’ve never travelled with our Bromptons. I was hoping to visit Vincita to purchase one of their bags. If I win, I will take one Brompton on our trip and still purchase at least one bag! Thanks for the review!

Looks like a great bag to use – i am definitely considering it as an alternative to a hard case – although i agree that flashing the logo of a bike might cause issues with air travel.

Thanks so much for your review

Thanks for the review. I just got a Brompton this summer and would love to do some air travel with it in the near future. This bag would be perfect. PS I also really enjoy your blog.

That bag looks ideal for must travelling! Do you think it could be padded enough inside or around the tubes, etc. to attempt airline travel? I know they’re so rough on luggage.
